She specializes in funeral and cremation pre-planning which helps families understand available options, financial considerations, and protection from inflation.
Course Description: Estate Planning and Medicaid Basics (How to Guide Families in Crisis) Learn the basics of Maryland estate planning and elder law provisions, including best practices for paying for a nursing facility, how to protect the family home and other assets, and how to qualify for Medicaid. Attendees will also understand the benefits and importance of having estate planning documents such as a will, power of attorney, healthcare directive and Maryland Medical Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment (MOLST) in place, before entering a nursing facility.
