The Maryland Daily Record recently published an article looking at the diversity efforts and progress of Maryland firms.  While the progress is slow, the article does recognize a number of efforts made by firms to change their diversity landscape.

Identified prominently in the article is PK Law’s progress as a firm having one of the highest number of female partners.  PK Law Estate Planning Attorney/Member was quoted with respect to the efforts made by the firm to obtain this number, “Everybody is really looking out for each other’s success. Tremendous amount of support is given to developing your practice, you voice and your name.”

Ms. Green was also quoted as saying, “[c]reating that culture is a matter of priority on part of law firms.”

“It takes an effort on the part of firm leadership to be a place that is conducive to people of all types.”
