PK Law joins the Maryland legal community in recognizing the tremendous contributions made by University of Baltimore School of Law Professor Emeritus Byron Warnken during his lifetime. The many attorneys he touched, some before even entering law school, is astounding and those who knew him undoubtedly will recall how he touched their lives upon hearing the sad news.

“I learned the news of Professor Warnken’s passing this morning at a McDonogh alumni board meeting.  The stories about Bryon that were told and the impact he had on so many lives is profound.  I remember he came to guest teach my government class at McDonogh about the judicial branch.  His stories and court room anecdotes sparked my interest in the law.”  ~ Lauren Ades, PK Law Attorney/Member

“As I’m sure is the case for many of us, I remember Professor Warnken from a bar prep course.  He had an incredible gift for communicating complex ideas concisely while infusing humor along the way, which was such a benefit under the circumstances.” ~ Andrew Scott, PK Law Attorney/Member

“I had Professor Warnken for criminal law and criminal procedure classes. He was tough and set a high standard for law students.  He was a Maryland legal icon and will be remembered by all his students.” John Doran, PK Law Attorney/Member
