PK Law was proud to once again sponsor the United Way’s Women’s Forum. United Way’s Women United membership group hosts this signature event that convenes, connects, and celebrates dynamic business and community leaders. This year’s Forum featured thoughtful discussions led by innovative and compassionate leaders and special guest speakers who conveyed to the audience the importance of storytelling in inspiring conversations that empower others to affect change, improve lives and lift up entire communities. Author, Teacher and Motivational Speaker Liz Murray, mesmerized the audience as the keynote speaker. Through her story she shared that life is a triumph over adversity and the importance of dreaming big. Murray’s life as the child of cocaine-addicted parents in the Bronx was bitterly grim yet despite unbelievable odds she finished high school in two years, won a scholarship to Harvard where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Murray’s story was exhilarating and inspirational.
