Estate Planning For Individuals and Families in Crisis – Approved for Social Worker CEU Credits

About the Speakers: Cheryl Jones is a Member in  PK Law’s Wealth Preservation Group. She represents individuals and families, business owners, healthcare facilities, and corporate executives in matters relating to estate planning, asset protection, and elder law, including asset transfer strategies.

Course Description:  Estate Planning For Individuals and Families In Crisis:  Families facing a loved one who has had a serious accident or has taken a sudden turn for the worse due to illness are often in crisis and don’t know where to turn to get the answers they need.  This seminar will provide the attendees with a basic understanding of key Maryland estate planning documents.  Upon completion, the attendees will be able to reassure and guide families on best practices for creating a will, power of attorney and health care directive, identifying assets, designating beneficiaries and paying for a nursing facility.  

Recommended Attendees:  This course is recommended for social workers and others who provide guidance to families facing a loved one in a medical crisis as well as family members of those loved ones looking for guidance.

Credits Available:  1 CEU credit for Maryland Social Workers
