Hodes was quoted in an article on pet trusts and was featured in a photo with his bird, Honey, in the Baltimore Sun Sunday, May 3rd edition.  The story discussed a new Maryland law, to be effective October 1 of this year, that will allow trusts to be set up to provide for the care of pets.  Basically, you will need to name a caregiver and a trustee to manage the money in the trust and reimburse the caregiver’s expenses.  Prior to the law, pets were considered property under Maryland law that could not receive assets.  Click on the following link to view the full article.   www.baltimoresun.com/business/investing/bal-bz.ml.ambrose03may03,0,3403567.column
